HISTORY & PURPOSE

Founded in 1977, the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES ) engages American Indians and Alaska Natives in science and engineering fields and pursuits, and offers programs and services to ensure a full circle of support.

FULL CIRCLE SUPPORT BEGINS WITH

  • pre-college programs including a national science fair for 5-12 grade students
  • a multitude of programs for college students, including scholarships, internships, and research opportunities
  • college chapters that provide academic, cultural and social support
  • two national events promoting career preparation, leadership development, and a host of professional development opportunities.
Members from over 200 Native Nations are represented within AISES. AISES holds the largest American Indian National Conference and Career Fair for students and professionals in the science and engineering fields, where hundreds of corporations, federal agencies and universities meet Indian students and professionals eager to learn about career opportunities.
